The H4-DL is a universal Japanese Santoku knife that is more than impressive in all areas of cutting. It is not for nothing that the meaning of the Japanese word "Santoku" is the "three virtues" and describes the good qualities when cutting meat, fish and vegetables. So what we in western cuisine call the classic "chef's knife" or all-purpose knife corresponds to the Santoku in Japanese cuisine. - Here it is perhaps more a matter of passion for which knife shape you decide. - This special Hohenmoorer Santoku with its balanced ratio is simply a true all-rounder in the kitchen and handles all cutting tasks perfectly.
The handle is made of smoked oak and has been hard-oiled several times. The blade, which has a blade length of 16.5 cm, is made of 1.2008 steel with a sheath made of butter or pure iron, which is then patinated and treated with camellia oil.
Special features:
- finest three-layer carbon steel
- Extremely sharp
- Excellent resharpening
- Rockwell hardness 62-63 HRC
- Handle oak specially smoked, treated several times with hard oil
Enjoy your knife: Keep your knives professionally sharp with a strop and water sharpening stone. Clean your knife under lukewarm water and use a scratch-free dishcloth. Dry thoroughly afterwards to avoid any patina.
