The brand and its distinctive details

Double Helix was founded in 2017 by Kaori Matsuda and Jay. The Japanese brand develops its own leathers and combines its designs with a dedicated production line and meticulous quality control. Manufactured by Hexagon Wrench Co., Ltd., Japan.

  • Bulldog: inspired by early single-pocket denim jackets, with a slightly slimmer cut, brass buttons and rivets, and a cinch back.
  • Hugging the Curve: a silhouette that tapers towards the waist; our ordered version is made from Black Core Deerskin.
  • Falconer: an anniversary model in vegetable-tanned Horse Queen horsehide, approximately 2 mm thick. The unlined D-pocket reveals the cordovan layer on the inside.
Measurements and fit advice for manufacturer size 48

Manufacturer size 48 is not a standard German clothing size. All measurements are taken from the jacket in centimetres. Compare them with a well-fitting jacket laid flat.

The flat chest width of 63 cm corresponds to a jacket chest circumference of 126 cm, not a body measurement. Measure the shoulders seam to seam, chest below the armholes and sleeves from the shoulder seam; lengths exclude the collar.

*The Hugging the Curve measurements are from the standard model. We will check the deerskin version after delivery. Natural material and manufacturing variations are possible.
